Organ Music

We can play most organ music written for the instrument, given sufficient time. Perhaps consider works by Bach, Buxtehude, Franck, Vierne, Mendelssohn, Widor, Mozart, Dupre, Elgar, Alain or Messiaen for starters.

Popular selections include Pachelbel's Canon in D, Purcel's 'Trumpet Tune' in D, Mendelssohn's 'Wedding March', Wagner's 'Bridal Entry' from Lohengrin, Handel's 'Arrival of the Queen of Sheba', Widor's Toccata, the Finale from Vierne's First Symphony and, Bach's 'Komm Heiliger Gheist'.

Mass or Ceremony?

If you are having a Mass, you should sing the Sanctus (Holy, Holy), Lord's Prayer and Agnus Dei (Lamb of God); you will need, at the least, to arrange to have a Cantor and Organist for this. Some suggestions of possible settings are indicated above.

- A Cantor ($250), and Organist ($300): including your choice of appropriate music before and after the ceremony, hymns and songs of your choice during the ceremony, and a sung Psalm and Gospel Acclamation.

- A Cantor ($250), and Organist ($300) and Trumpeter ($250): including your choice of appropriate music before and after the ceremony, hymns and songs of your choice during the ceremony, and a sung Psalm and Gospel Acclamation.

- The St. Paul's Choir of Boys (between 16 and 20 boys depending on season) $2000, Music Director ($300) and Organist ($300): including your choice of appropriate music before and after the ceremony, hymns and songs of your choice during the ceremony, a sung Psalm and Gospel Acclamation, and choral Mass movements. The Full Choir of St. Paul's Church  (16-20 boys & 8 Men $3000), Music Director ($300) and Organist ($300): including your choice of appropriate music before and after the ceremony, hymns and songs of your choice during the ceremony, a sung Psalm and Gospel Acclamation, and choral Mass movements.

- The St Paul's Men's Schola (6 Men -  $600) Organist/Music Director ($300): including your choice of appropriate music before and after the ceremony, hymns and songs of your choice during the ceremony,  a sung Psalm and Gospel Acclamation, and choral Mass movements.

Payment

Please make checks payable as follows:

The Boys  -  payable to 'BACS'

The Organist -  payable in name to the organist who accompanied your liturgy

The Director of Music  - 'St. Paul's Church'

The Trumpeter -  payable in name to the trumpeter who played for your liturgy

The Men's Schola - payable to 'St Paul's Church'

A deposit is required to arrive no later than 2 weeks before the ceremony in order to book the Choirs.
